Double Creek Run/Double Creek Tour
“York’s Premier Cycling and Running Event”
Choose the ride — a 30-mile or 63-mile route;
Or the run — a half-marathon or a 5K challenge;
Or both and take the Endurance Challenge — the half-marathon and either of the rides.
Cyclists and runners of all ages and skill levels are invited to participate in a day of activity and fun on a scenic route throughout northern York and Adams counties. All event proceeds will benefit the Healthy Community Pharmacy.
In 2003, to combine the area’s enthusiasm for cycling with a desire to help neighbors in need, WellSpan Health and its partnering organizations announced the creation of the Double Creek Tour.
This 30 or 63 mile (metric century) ride will take you through scenic and lightly traveled roads of York and Adams counties. You will enjoy green stretches of farmland, rustic bridges, and country churches while riding along the Conewago and Bermudian creeks for which the ride was named.
This route for this event will be punctuated by several rest stops. Healthy refreshments will be available at all of these stops, and a celebratory lunch will mark the end of the tour.
Over the last four years, the event has experienced remarkable growth, thanks in large part to the generosity of the community and participants like yourself.
This year, the event is pleased to have Nicholas Pandelidis, MD and Steven Pandelidis, MD as the Honorary Chairmen of the event.

About the Run
The Double Creek Run takes up the legacy of an important event that has been carried on at the Hospital Fete for more than 25 years. Many steps have been taken to ensure that it has kept as much of its identity and individuality as possible.
The route for this event will be punctuated by frequent water stands. A celebratory lunch will mark the end of the run.
The Double Creek Run is part of The Hanover Toyota Cup Race and the York Hospital Running Series. Run in these great races and earn points toward the overall championship.
The first of the four races will be the annual EAT EM UP! 5K, Gettysburg Hospital, Saturday, April 8.
Race two will be the RACE FOR THE AGES, The Brethren Home Community, Saturday, May 6.
Race Three will be the GENE GLADFELTER MEMORIAL MILE, Shiloh United Church of Christ, West York, Saturday, June 10.
The Double Creek Run wraps up the series. A male and female overall champion will be crowned after the Double Creek run, in addition to the crowning of champions in several other categories.
A runner’s chance of winning is much better if he or she runs all of these races. You must register for each individual event. See www.hanovertoyotacup.com for details.
