Husband and Wife Claim 5K Run Titles
The finish of Saturday’s Ogden Newspapers 5K Run for Your Health was a family affair with a Pennsylvania husband-wife pairing claiming the men’s and women’s crowns.
Peter and Jeannette Boyd of Union City, Pa., took the men’s and women’s top spots for the Ogden 5K Run, finishing at 16:10 and 19:14 respectively.
“This was a great course,” said Peter Boyd, 31, although he added that the weather was a little muggy during the run.
“Sometimes we train together, but between work and family it’s hard,” Jennette said, adding that the couple has two children, meaning they often take turns and run separately.
