Since the late 1990s, Lewis, 73, has accumulated more than 10,000 miles of running, and just more than 16,000 miles of pedaling.
Once around the world is about 24,900 miles, Lewis said.
“I’m working on my second lap.”
Lewis, who moved to Mount Dora with his wife, Elizabeth, in 2003, usually starts his day by lacing up his running shoes for a three- to six-mile jog. Later that day, he takes a 12-mile bike ride.
