Hoka One One Gaviota 5, for which type of athlete, what use, what distance, and what surface?

This new model is designed for runners of all levels, from beginners to the most experienced. Particularly stable, it is crucial for overpronating strides to reduce overpronation by providing extra support inside the foot.

It is perfect for short to medium distances, up to a half marathon.

The Gaviota 5 shoe accompanies you during your daily running training and your walking sessions on roads and paths.

Gaviota 5, how to use it?

+ It combines stability and agility to provide the necessary support for the smooth running of your training. Specifically designed to ensure smooth transitions and guide your foot, this new version offers optimal support without compromising cushioning.

- It is not best suited to follow a high pace during competitions, for this purpose we recommend the Hoka One One Mach X, very effective for 5 and 10 kilometers.

Why choose the Gaviota 5 running shoe?

This brand new model offers several advantages:

  • The softest foam ever used in a stability shoe at Hoka One One
  • Soft cushioning that ensures gentle landings by reducing ground impact
  • Breathable jacquard mesh upper: allows air circulation for breathability suited to your pace
  • Soft tongue and collar: comfortably wraps your foot
  • Curved sole profile under the metatarsals starting towards the back of the foot: ensures smooth transitions from heel to toe
  • Made from recycled materials and eco-friendly components
  • Shoe focused on support to prevent excessive sagging or overpronation

The Gaviota 5, what's new?

Technologies

  • Meta-Rocker

The Meta-Rocker midsole geometry, specifically designed with a low heel-to-toe drop and a sculpted outsole radius at the heel and toes, creates a unique pivot point effect that promotes a guided gait cycle.

  • Profil de semelle incurvé équilibré sous les métas

The geometry of the midsole with a curved profile under the metatarsals is designed to reduce fatigue and promote a smooth and predictable foot roll throughout the stride. The midsole geometry with a curved profile under the metatarsals starts further from the instep, with a transition zone placed in front of the metatarsal heads. This provides a more stable base for metatarsal support.

  • J-Frame

This technology enhances the bucket seat. It offers support and protection while guiding your foot without rigid materials that offer little tolerance. It is designed to combat pronation and guide the foot smoothly without using rigid materials.

  • H-Frame

The H-Frame lacing system ensures better midfoot support.
