Usage Recommendations
BEFORE EXERCISE
3 hours before a training session or competition, it can be included in breakfast (to allow for digestion time and muscle awakening). Recommended dosage: 2 cakes.
In a breakfast it is recommended to have:
- 1 portion of carbohydrates/fats: 2 cakes + 60 g of almond ATLET energy cream
- 1 portion of protein: 1 egg or 1 slice of ham (nitrate-free)
- 1 fresh fruit
1 hour before exercise: 1 cake as a waiting ration
DURING EXERCISE
1/2 cake to be consumed every 30 min to provide regular energy intake and promote good digestive absorption. This cake can replace an energy drink for carbohydrate intake but not for sodium, so it's important to use a supplement for sodium intake.
Exercise > 3 hours: the cakes can be used during replenishments as a snack to recharge energy reserves (glycogen and lipids). For example, take a soup for water and sodium intake, complemented by two cakes for energy intake.
AFTER EXERCISE
During recovery, the cake should be consumed as close as possible to the effort (within 30 min) to promote the recharge of glycogen reserves.
