Summary:
Yasushi Senju is a young professor, painter, and renowned mountaineer. He knows the mountains and all their dangers. For several years, he has been training relentlessly to face The Big Wall: a 1,250-meter vertical wall located in northern Canada. This dream was shared with his friend Fukada, who disappeared beside him on the slopes of Everest.
Yasushi Senju is also a high mountain guide. From the cliffs of Japan to the Himalayan giants, he takes us along in his wake through seven sensitive stories where life and death meet under the open sky. He also explores the often secret motivations that drive mountaineers to venture to the summits, but also, and much more rarely, looks at those who remain behind...
